What Pro adds
Tracker, printed or in Excel
One line per person: start date, notice, the date protection starts, the last day to give notice when the notice is worked or paid in lieu, probation end and the days left. In Excel the dates are formulas (EDATE), so a corrected start date updates the whole line.
Three probation letters
Probation passed, probation extended and probation not passed: neutral, factual wording with [fields] for you to complete, laid out from the points Acas lists for each outcome. Templates, not legal advice.
What changed, on one page
The tribunal time limit (6 months from 1 October 2026), the six-month qualifying period and the end of the compensation cap (1 January 2027), each with its legislation.gov.uk or GOV.UK link. Handy for a manager briefing.

Frequently asked questions
- Where do the dates come from?
- From the staff list you saved on this site and the rules of the Employment Rights Act 1996 as amended by the Employment Rights Act 2025, with the sources listed on each page. The tracker uses exactly the same functions as the free tools.
- Are the letters legal advice?
- No. They are neutral templates with [fields] to complete, laid out from the points Acas lists for each probation outcome. They do not decide whether a dismissal is fair; check with Acas or a solicitor before dismissing anyone.
- What if I have not made a staff list yet?
- The pack shows a made-up team labelled Sample data until you save your own list on the staff list page; the preview above then shows your first lines.
- Is Pro a subscription?
- It depends on the plan you pick above. A monthly plan renews until you cancel it from the Manage subscription link shown once Pro is open; a one-time purchase is paid once and stays open for good.
- Do I need an account?
- No. You pay on Stripe's page and come back here; Pro opens in this browser and stays open. For another browser or device, ask for your access link by email on this page.
- What about VAT or sales tax?
- Stripe is the merchant of record. Any tax that applies where you are is shown at checkout, and the receipt or invoice comes from Stripe by email.
- Can I get a refund?
- Pro opens the moment you pay. If it does not do what this page says, write within 14 days and you get a full refund. Details on the refund policy page.
- What do you store about me?
- Nothing on our servers. The checkout reference and the answer from the verification service are kept in this browser's local storage; the email you type at checkout goes to Stripe for the receipt and lets you reopen Pro elsewhere.
